Is a Spanish major a respectable one?

For me it's hard to say that I don't care what others think when I tell them my major because deep down I care a little. I'm an art education right now and I am thinking of changing it to either bilingual education or spanish or maybe even nutrition. But the idea of all those science cles scare me.
